![]() So, you're a Britney Spears fan. Seen her website? Like it? Ever posted anything about her on your Livejournal? Ever 'inherited' an MP3 from the Web, or downloaded some desktop wallpaper? Ever realised that you're part of a marketing campaign?
The online presence, or e-presence, of recording artists, bands, record labels and their catalogs is an essential part of the 'real world' for an entire generation of the public. They expect information to be there, 24/7, one click on Google and every question is answered. It also means that they expect freedom in their information - privacy and protection of intellectual property is a critical component of our work, securing the lives of those that brighten others. We don't do a lot of 'website making' - that's too easy. What we do is make sure the website works, the artists are safe and free to work with the Net rather than against it, and that the song-buying public are treated as part of the process instead of part of a problem.
By now you can probably see why we only work with signed artists and record labels, as most of the 'stuff' we do is based on protecting the flow of money and the privacy of someone in the public eye. However, there is a huge amount of free information for those starting out in 'the Biz' available in our resources section, from introductions to the way the industry operates through copyright law, how to build better sites - and of course how to get noticed! Still curious? You may like to read what we're doing with the future of music. |
